Welcome To the Family

Bought me a Washburn D46SCE to add to the guitar collection.

More to come when the feelings for it have actually sunk in. I still have yet to name it….

    Cool.

I finally switched up guitars and am playing my Epiphone Les Paul clone again, but I am really out of practice. I used to have a lot of fun playing the intro to Killin Floor, but now my fingers just won’t do it anymore!

I might have to start over from square one and concentrate on scales, etc; basically, all the stuff I never did. Unfortunately, my time is split between about 100 different hobbies, so it might just be relaxation mode for me from here on out :(

Dude, I know the feeling. But, having said that, sometimes the best thing I can do is just drop the guitar and walk away for a few hours. A couple weeks ago I struggled with the intro solo to Layla… walked away for 4 hours, sat back down, and suddenly my fingers just knew it. Felt REALLY good.

But yeah, I’m trying to get over those phases when I don’t touch a guitar for days at a time- I just fiddle with it when I watch tv, at the very least. The problem with scales is… $hit they’re boring.

Which Les Paul do you have? The studio? Mine’s doing some effed up things in the electronics….
